Do Not Put Yard Waste Should Into the Storm Drains
Don Keck - 1/8/2012
Using the county storm drains to dispose of yard waste is prohibited by law and creates a danger of flooding in the subdivision. All yard waste (including leaves, grass clippings, and other garden debris, etc.) should be put into waste bags and left at the curb for Trash Taxi to pick up. In addition the law strictly prohibits the disposal of many other items in the storm drains.
Cobb County and Georgia Code: The dumping, throwing, draining, running, or otherwise discharging of yard waste, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, pet waste, sediment, garbage, and debris to the storm water drainage system and any surface water is a violation of Cobb County Code Sections 50-112a, 50-191a, 102-92a, and/or 110-61f.
Single Family Homes
Don Keck - 1/8/2012
All homes in Oakleigh are zoned as single family dwellings. This means that they cannot be utilized as multiple family rental properties with apartments or rooms for rent. Our Oakeligh Covenants also provide that
"All Lots shall be restricted exclusively to single-family residential use" [Article VIII, Section 1];
and further that
"All homes in the Oakleigh Subdivision are classified as single-family dwellings, which may not be subdivided into, or otherwise treated as, multiple family dwellings. No portion of any home or Lot within the Oakleigh subdivision may be rented or leased for any purpose" [Article XI, Section 1].
While some of our homes have "Mother-In-Law" suites, these are intended to be used by family members (i.e. children, parents, mothers-in-law, or the occasional aunt, etc.). The Oakleigh Covenants clearly prohibit the renting of a portion of any home to non-family members.

Another Succesul Year
Don Keck - 30/11/2011
Once again the Oakleigh HOA has ended the Fiscal Year within its 2011 Budget. We completed a significant number of capital improvements and repairs - including repainting the Tennis Pavilion, replacing one third of the pool furniture, installing a privacy fence along Midway Rd, and resurfacing one quarter of the pool deck - without the need for a Special Assessment or the use of Reserve Funds...
